The current NIH rankings show that UCSF Neurology is second nationally among departments of neurology at US medical schools. We have been at or near the top for over a decade. This ranking does not take into account the NIH support to our faculty at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center or the Gladstone Institute of Neurological Disease.
The U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals list for 2016-2017 has ranked UCSF Medical Center among the nation’s premier medical institutions for the 15th consecutive year.
