Graduate Student

I am a graduate student in the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program studying for my MD and PhD. My research project involves the expression patterns and effects of cerebral vascular endothelial growth factor on blood brain barrier permeability and edema formation in neonatal rodents, after transient middle cerebral artery occlusion. Current projects also include the study of cerebral accumulation of amyloid precursor protein neurotoxic fragments, such as beta amyloid, and their effect on the neonatal brain after transient middle cerebral artery occlusion.
