My research is mostly focused on inflammatory mediators in neonatal ischemia.  Primarily I focus on how Aminoguanidine, a relatively selective inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) inhibitor, affects both the size of ischemic injury and the accumulation/ proliferation of inflammatory cells.  Other projects include studies of how mediators such as GROa, IL-1b, and TNFa are involved in neonatal ischemia.
