Appointments for UCSF Stroke Clinic

Appointments for the UCSF Stroke Clinic can be arranged on referral from your doctor or on self-referral. To arrange a new patient visit please contact Doug Wright at our main number. Follow-up appointments are made the same way.

New patients should bring, or have faxed, prior medical records of relevance. It is especially important to bring any MRI's, CT scans or angiograms with you to the appointment. These films can be obtained in the radiology file room of the hospital or imaging center where you had the studies done. Both CT and MRI scans are usually printed on large pieces of film and each study may have several sheets of film. Angiograms are also printed on film and typically there are many sheets (20-50). Our doctors wish to see the actual films in addition to the radiologists interpretation of the images in order to give you the best second opinion possible.

Getting Here and Parking

The UCSF Stroke Clinic is located at 400 Parnassus Avenue in San Francisco, within the ambulatory care center (ACC building), on the eighth floor. Parking is located within the parking gargage below the medical complex and can be entered off of Parnassus avenue or from Irving street. Unfortuately, we cannot validate parking. Once parked in this garage, come to the Parnassus street level and look for the black glass building at 400 Parnassus.
