Clinical Research on Neurocritical Care and Stroke

Our focus is on clinical research into the causes and best treatments for a variety of conditions including

• Stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA)
• Cerebral aneurysms and subarachnoid hemorrhage
• Intracerebral hemorrhage
• Imaging of the brain during stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage (CT angiography and CT perfusion)
• Vascular malformations, including dural arterial venous fistula, arteriovenous malformations (AVM), and cavernous angiomas
• Stroke in young patients
• Arterial dissection and stroke
• Use of stents and angioplasty to open carotid, vertebral and intracranial vessels
• Cerebral sinus (dural vein) thrombosis
• Traumatic brain and spinal cord injury
